Participation Process Overview
Access the data you need—quickly, securely, and with confidence.
Step 1: Register & Submit Data
Once your organization confirms its intent to participate in the Construction Pay Index (CPI) Survey, you will receive a registration form to initiate the process. Upon submission, CPI will provide an invoice along with detailed participation materials — including a secure survey template with embedded job descriptions and clear submission guidelines. Your team may complete the file at its own pace, with CPI available throughout to support a smooth and accurate data submission experience.
Step 2: Validation & Analysis
Once your data is submitted, CPI conducts a thorough quality review to ensure accuracy, consistency, and completeness. We apply statistical validation techniques — including leveling sanity checks and interquartile range (IQR) analysis — to identify outliers and anomalies.
Typical quality control (QC) reviews are completed within 5 to 10 business days, though timelines may vary depending on the quality of the initial submission. Some participants may require only minor adjustments, while others may involve more in-depth follow-up to resolve discrepancies.
Our team collaborates closely with each participant to ensure all data meets CPI’s accuracy standards. This rigorous process ensures the final analysis is built on reliable, high-integrity data — delivering maximum value to all participants.
Step 3: Survey Publication & Results Access
After all submissions are validated, CPI compiles survey responses into a detailed compensation report. To preserve confidentiality and ensure statistical integrity, results are reported in aggregate only—requiring data from at least five participating organizations per data point.
Participating firms receive early access to the final report, which includes compensation percentiles and filterable insights by job level, company scale, and geography—down to the city level. This local granularity ensures benchmarks reflect real-world pay practices in the markets where your teams compete.
Delivered in a polished, ready-to-use format, the report empowers your team to take immediate action—supporting faster, smarter, and more competitive pay decisions.
Note: Access to the final report is granted upon successful data validation and receipt of payment. Standard Net-30 terms apply.
